When the thumb impression is identified, it is analyzed by the Naadi reader in the library. Every individual’s lines and patterns are unique, making duplication impossible.
The vertical lines are classified into 108 types that determine the square measurement. In the palm leaf manuscripts, this square measurement acts as a code that helps locate the correct leaf from the library collections.
Each thumb category generally contains 5 to 6 bundles, and each bundle has about 50 to 100 leaves.
A single leaf may belong to an individual; however, identifying that specific leaf is a meticulous and time-consuming process. The reader scans the initial bundle and reads a report to verify its authenticity. If it does not match, a second reading is done for confirmation.
If the report does not correspond to the individual, the reader removes those leaves and continues searching through the next bundles. Thus, it becomes clear that the process must continue leaf by leaf, carefully examining every detail until the right leaf is found.
To speed up this process, complete cooperation and patience are required from the seeker, as it may take several weeks or even months. This identification leaf, also known as the “General Kaandam,” serves as the master leaf from which other relevant chapters for the individual are derived.
The final Kaandam provides temporary predictions and outlines the twelve houses in the birth chart. It further expands the predictions about the individual’s life based on this birth chart, and the remaining eleven leaves are read according to the person’s questions and interests.
The great sage Agasthiya emphasizes that one must free themselves from the sins of previous births. He explains the importance of performing remedial measures (Parikarams) and assesses their effectiveness in reducing the intensity of such sins.
When these remedies are performed with full dedication and without deviation, the sage assures that the expected outcomes will certainly manifest. The alternate procedures mentioned in separate chapters, called “Shanti” and “Deekasha,” further explain these sacred practices. After identifying the correct code, predictions are generally revealed over several months.
After a few attempts, if the individual is unable to recognize their own leaf or identification page, it indicates that their code is lost, and they are destined to search for it again in the future stage of their life.
