History of NADI ASTROLOGY

Nadi Astrology, originating from Vaitheeswaran Koil, is an ancient science that reveals the past, present, and future of individuals through palm-leaf manuscripts called Nadi Olai Suvadis. Thousands of years ago, sages (Rishis) and enlightened beings (Siddhas) recorded details of humans who would live in the future. These manuscripts contain information such as a person’s name, place, parents, appearance, physical attributes, and destiny.

Written in ancient Tamil, these manuscripts can be located using a person’s thumb impression or name. Each palm leaf provides insights into one’s life, including past events, current circumstances, and future predictions. The Nadi leaves, believed to be over 2000 years old, were authored by the Saptarishis and other sages to guide future generations.

Shiva Nadi Jyotisiyam is a sacred form of astrology where the content of palm leaves is considered a divine conversation between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Initially, these manuscripts were stored in the Saraswati Mahal Library, Thanjavur. During British rule, some leaves were destroyed, while others were auctioned. Nadi astrology is based on the principles of Karma, considering the effects of both good and bad deeds.

The practice involves 108 types of thumb impressions divided into 16 divisions. For centuries, it has been preserved and practiced by generations of astrologers. I, Gurujisri Siva Balaguru, have been providing Nadi astrology services for over 15 years in Karur district at Gandhigram, K.V.B Bank upstairs. I trained under the guidance of my Gurus, M.
